As the winter clothing comes off, anxiety of how cellulite looks peaks at an all time high for many women across the globe. And it is not just average women that are anxious about their condition – even beautiful celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian are criticized for their dimpled thighs.

Worse cases are visible when the woman is standing or lying down and can feel squishy or lumpy to touch. The average age for when cellulite occurs is between 25 and 35 but it is not uncommon for teenagers to be effected by it too.

There is no best cellulite removal treatment. Each remedy approaches the condition from a different angle and has their own advantages and disadvantages. It is important that whatever treatment you undergo that you full understand the various pros and cons, the time frame to see results and the full costs.

The most common remedy is anti-cellulite lotion. They are relatively easy to use but can be expensive if you opt for a high range brand. The most popular lotions include Revitol, EliteSkin, Murad and Nivea Good-bye Cellulite.

Another popular method is anti cellulite lymphatic drainage massage. This is usually conducted using a device operated at a beautician or day spa. This can be a costly treatment with each session priced at over $100. You will also need two treatments per week for several weeks before you will start to see results.

If you don’t want to pay for a cellulite remedy then you could always opt for good old diet and exercise. To combat cellulite effectively you should focus on both cardio to burn fat and strength exercises to increase lean muscle mass. The cardio will eliminate most of the fat but not all as the body needs to retain some at the subcutaneous level for healthy living. The lean muscle will provide a support base for this remaining fat and helps stretch the skin and fat for a smoother look.
