Can Vertical Jumps Be Improved?





The quest to become better at your sport is something that all athletes strive for. This is not something you do half-heartedly but should be the center of your focus as an athlete. If you do not aim to improve, then you should rethink whether you could really consider yourself a serious athlete.

If you are into basketball or volleyball then one aspect where you could become better significantly is the vertical jump aspect. Many players consider this skill secondary and do not put in enough effort to hone or improve that part of their game. It seems that many people think this is something that can not be improved but the truth is, vertical jump height is a something that is relatively easier to improve compared to, say, your free throw shooting or your volleyball spiking accuracy.

With the right training regimen that incorporates the correct principles and exercises to jump higher, you could literally add inches to your jump right before your eyes. Because sports science has improved our understanding of the human kinetics, there are now vertical training programs that are capable of showing positive results in just weeks! It is not unusual to see a few inches added just a couple of weeks into training.

If you are somewhat vertically-challenged (a.k.a. short) and are starting to think that basketball or volleyball is not for you then think again. Others succeed as basketball players mainly due to their height but you can succeed because you are a great all around player and an exciting jumper to boot!

Surprise your opponents by jumping 4 to 5 feet high like it is nothing to you and slam dunk the ball like there is no tomorrow. Become the go to guy in your team by showing your diligence and determination at improving your game. Be an explosive vertical jumper and see your athletic aspirations soar!
